He Has Not Left Us

By the time you read this, many of us will have joined Christians around the world in saying the Lord’s Prayer at noon on March 25. We might have even heard church bells toll at that time where possible.

Many of us feel right now as helpless as the chosen people in today first reading, when in their desert trek they desperately prayed to God to give them food and drink. But remember the response of Jesus in the Gospel today: "The one who sent me is with me. He has not left me alone."

So Jesus, in these perilous times, may we come to realize the meaning of the words: “He has not left me alone.”
